Trine at Manchester capsule

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Carl W. Burt Memorial Stadium (3,500/grass), North Manchester

Radio: 89.5 FM

2012 records: Trine 7-3, Manchester 6-4

Series: Trine leads 7-1

Scouting report: This is a collision between two schools on an uptick. Trine put together its second straight 7-3 season last year and returns a kicker (Tyler Keck) who made the Beyond Sports Network Division III second team; a guard (Andrew Webster) who made three different All-America teams; and a veteran defense led by outside linebacker Caleb Nitz, a first-team all-conference player. Manchester, meanwhile, has not lost a game since Sept. 22, having won its last six games of 2012. A veteran offensive line returns to pave the way for senior quarterback Nick Williams (1,216 yards passing and 834 yards rushing for a combined 21 touchdowns), junior running back Austin Adams (472 yards and eight scores) and senior tight end Ryne Lehrman (12 catches for 170 yards and three TDs). Manchester hasn’t beaten Trine since 2006.
