DeKalb boys soccer score 9 goals in home win

– It was a lopsided game for the DeKalb boys soccer team, which defeated Garrett 9-1 on Wednesday.

And Brennan Cochran led the way for the Barons, who are ranked seventh in Class 2A, by scoring four times in Waterloo.

Teammate Grant Lockwood added two goals for the 6-1 Barons, as the Railroaders fell to 4-2-1.

HERITAGE 6, WHITKO 0: In Monroeville, Hil Sun and Aaron Horne scored two goals apiece, while Jacob Hockemeyer had a goal and two assists.


LEO 174, DEKALB 201: At Bridgewater West in Auburn, Leo’s Ashley Kimes shot a 2-over 37.

EAST NOBLE 183, ANGOLA 189: At Zollner in Angola, Alyn Clark shot a 5-over 41 to lead the Knights, while teammate Logan Handshoe had a 44. Angola’s Allison Brimmer posted a 43.

Girls soccer

NEW HAVEN 3, WAYNE 3: In New Haven, Amber Collins scored three times for the Bulldogs. All of her goals came in the first half, but Wayne scored once in the second to get the draw.


LEO 4, SNIDER 1: Eli Stiner recovered from a 6-3 first-set loss to Matt Golm by winning 6-1 and 6-2 at No. 1 singles at Snider. Leo teammate Reid Herran won at No. 3 singles, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6, over Stephen Halstead at No. 3 singles.

BELLMONT 5, NORTH SIDE 0: At North Side, Evan Selking won 6-0, 5-7, 6-4 at No. 1 singles against Teddy Hesterman.


BELLMONT 3, NORTHROP 0: At Northrop, Janaya Wilder had four aces and seven kills for Bellmont, which won 25-9, 25-10, 25-12.
