Report: Feichter breaks leg

Purdue safety Landon Feichter, who already had broken bones in both hands, broke his leg during Saturday's 20-14 victory over Indiana State in West Lafayette.

The news was reported by the Journal & Courier newspaper and it was unclear how long Feichter, a native of Fort Wayne, would be out or if he would require surgery.

A former standout at Bishop Dwenger, Feichter broke his hands in the Boilermakers' 42-7 season-opening loss at Cincinnati, but the junior was able to play through it until suffering the leg injury in the first quarter.

Last season, he led Purdue in tackles (80) and interceptions (4).

When he returned to the sideline Saturday, he had a boot and crutches.
