Feichter out 6-8 weeks with broken leg

Purdue coach Darrell Hazell announced that junior safety Landon Feichter underwent surgery for a broken leg Tuesday morning and will miss six to eight weeks.

Feichter, a Bishop Dwenger grad, was already playing through some rough injuries when he hurt the leg against Indiana State on Saturday. The 6-foot, 189-pound safety, who led the Boilermakers in tackles last season, played against the Sycamores with broken bones in both of his hands.

Hazell will likely look to younger brother Evan Feichter, a redshirt freshman, and sophomore Anthony Brown to fill in for Landon Feichter.
