Molester gets 6-year term

– After pleading guilty to child molesting last month, a 44-year-old man was sentenced to six years in prison and four years on probation in Allen Superior Court.

Gary R. Anderson, of the 5200 block of Cornett Court, was charged in July, accused of molesting two girls younger than 14.

Originally charged with five counts of child molesting – three Class A felonies, and two Class C felonies – Anderson admitted to two added charges in August, both Class B felonies punishable by six to 20 years in prison.

Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull sentenced Anderson on Friday to 10 years in prison but ordered four years suspended and to be served on probation. He must also pay $301 in restitution.
