Fox Island closed to visitors as officers search area

Body found in wooded area

Fox Island County Park and Nature Preserve was closed to visitors Sunday afternoon while officers searched the area for a missing woman.

The woman's vehicle was found in a parking lot Sunday morning, according to Allen County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jeremy Tinkel.

After searching the area for several hours, officers found the body of a deceased person at about 3:40 p.m., he said.

No foul play is suspected, Tinkel said.
