Young talent there for Canterbury

Canterbury girls soccer coach Jennie Crandal raved about her freshmen after a 2-1 win over Snider at Hefner Fields on Tuesday.

And with good reason. There are plenty of them and plenty of talent in them.

"I am very excited about the freshmen that we have," Crandal said.

The Class A No. 6 Cavaliers (5-3-1) have six freshmen on the roster and one of them, Regan West, scored both goals against the Panthers.

West leads the team with six goals, while another freshman, Sydney Colby, has five goals.

Canterbury also has 12 sophomores on the roster as it bodes well for the future.
