iPhone as Spinning Notebook

I had to wait this morning for a repair person to come clean and check my furnace, so I woke up early and spun as I waited.

I love this particular excuse for extra spinning. I couldn't possibly do dishes or fold laundry or clean the house. What if I didn't hear the doorbell? Nope, spinning is definitely the only sure-fire activity while waiting.

I got up to answer the door and wrangle the Curious Cat (Scaredy Cat always hides), but other than that, I had enough time to finish the first half of my batt, break the second half into fauxlags, oil the wheel, and spin a bit more.

Overall, a very pleasant morning. (Except for the news that I need a new furnace. I don't think the other people or cats in the house would be pleased if we didn't have heat this winter.)

Weirdly, the repair person didn't ask what the heck I was doing. Maybe a lot of people in town are spinning wool when he shows up?

I forgot to take a good photo of my spinning, so here is my "notebook" photo. I always take an iPhone snap of the drive band position before I take off a bobbin. That way, I know what ratio I was using (in this case, 10.5 to 1) without writing down notes.
