Work to restrict US 27 north of downtown

Statement as issued Wednesday by the Indiana Department of Transportation:

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that on Thursday, September 19, and Friday, September 20, US 27/Lafayette Street and US 27/Spy Run Avenue will have intermittent restrictions due to pavement repair work following water main work. A subcontractor for the City of Fort Wayne is handling the repair under permit by INDOT. The restrictions include the left lane of Lafayette Street at Berry Street, the left lane of Lafayette Street at Wayne Street and the right lane of Spy Run Avenue north of Baltes Avenue (just north of the Historic Old Fort).

The work is expected to be complete by end of the day on Friday, September 20.
