Fort Wayne abortion complaint filed with state

The executive director of Allen County Right to Life claims that a Fort Wayne doctor gave an abortion to a 13-year-old girl and failed to report it properly to the state department of health.

Cathie Humbarger and another woman filed the complaints with the Indiana Attorney General’s Office and the Indiana Medical Licensing Board today, according to a media release from Humbarger.

She is accusing Dr. Ulrich Klopfer, of the Fort Wayne Women’s Health Organization, of performing the abortion on Feb. 7.

By state law, according to Humbarger’s release, he is required to report the abortion to the Indiana Department of Health within three days.

The department of health did not receive a report about the abortion until July 25, according to Humbarger’s release.
