Man admits to child molestation

A 58-year-old man admitted Tuesday in Allen Superior Court to child molesting and seduction in two different cases.

Jack E. Harris, of the 600 block of Lawton Place, pleaded guilty to Class C felony child molesting – punishable by three to eight years in prison – in one case, and Class D felony child seduction – punishable by up to three years – in the other case.

He was charged in June and July after two girls whom Harris knew told investigators that on different occasions, Harris would come to them in their bedrooms and molest them.

He faces a total prison sentence of three years and four years on probation when he is sentenced next month, according to court documents.

Under the terms of a plea agreement, an additional count of child solicitation will be dismissed.
