About 14,000 Frigidaire Professional blenders have been recalled because the shaft assembly can break, according to an announcement issued Thursday by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
It said no injuries have been reported, but the company has received eight reports of the shaft assembly breaking.
Consumers were urged to stop using the recalled blenders immediately and contact Frigidaire for instructions about getting a free replacement blender. For more information, call Frigidaire toll-free at 888-747-7637 or visit www.frigidaire.com and click on Product Recall at the bottom of the page.
The five-speed blender is brushed aluminum and has black buttons on the front. The blender container is a 56-oz. clear glass jar with a black lid and a black base.
The blender was sold at stores nationwide and online for about $130.
