Rivergreenway detour is rerouted

FORT WAYNE – Because of logjam removal near Hosey Dam, the Rivergreenway detour during the North Anthony Bridge reconstruction is being rerouted for several weeks.

Beginning today, trail users will be directed to use the pedestrian ramp just north of Hosey Dam, the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department announced.

It will take them to the sidewalk on North Anthony Boulevard to Cody Avenue. At Cody, the detour runs east to Kensington Boulevard, then south to Niagara Drive.

Trail users will take Niagara to the access ramp where Pemberton and Niagara intersect. This ramp leads back up to the Maumee Pathway.

The Maumee Pathway between Pemberton Drive and the North River Road Trailhead will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for resurfacing work, the department said.
