Hogsett: We pause to honor the heroism of another fallen son

U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Hogsett released the following statement in response to the early morning slaying of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Rod Bradway:

“This morning the thoughts and prayers of the United States Attorney’s Office are with Officer Bradway’s family and our partners at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. A guardian of our city was killed today and Indianapolis is the lesser because of it.

As we all pause to honor the heroism of another fallen son, it is my hope that we might also take time today to consider how we can best protect the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to keep this community safe. It is an obligation we all share, and one the U.S. Attorney’s Office remains committed to upholding.”
