Marching band results

Adams Central, Whitko, DeKalb and Homestead took home first place in their respective classes Saturday during a high school marching band contest in Kendallville.

Area bands competed in the East Noble Invitational at East Noble High School.

According to IndianaMarching.com, in Class D, Adams Central was first and Woodlan was second. Adams Central won caption awards for music, visual, general effect, auxiliary and percussion.

In Class C, Whitko was first and won caption awards for music, visual, general effect, auxiliary and percussion.

In Class B, DeKalb was first, Northwood second, Columbia City third, Garrett fourth, New Haven fifth, South Side sixth and Wayne seventh. DeKalb won caption awards for music, visual, general effect, auxiliary and percussion.

In Class A, Homestead was first, Carroll second, Warsaw third and Snider fourth. Homestead won caption awards for music, visual, general effect and auxiliary. Carroll won a caption award for percussion.
