2 hold up Fort Wayne food trailer, attack workers

Two men tried to rob a Mexican food trailer over the weekend on Fort Wayne’s south side, and they attacked two workers in the process, according to a city police report.

The two men, one armed with a pistol, barged into the trailer Saturday night when it was open for business near Hoagland and West Creighton avenues. The armed man used the pistol to hit a worker in the mouth, cheek and forehead. That robber then grabbed the second worker by the neck and hit her in the face, the report said

When the workers began screaming, the two men left without taking any money. The two assailants were last seen running west behind a nearby grocery store.

The man with the gun stood about 5-foot-7 and wore a black knit cap. The other was taller and had a thin build. Both were black and appeared to be between 18 and 25 years old, the report said.
