A 40-year-old man was arrested on methamphetamine charges Wednesday evening after Fort Wayne police served a warrant at his home.
City police served a warrant at the 2900 block of Pittsburg Street in reference to complaints of methamphetamine production. During the search, officers found Richard Klaff hiding behind the water heater in the basement. Numerous precursors and hazardous waste from the production of methamphetamine along with a one-pot meth lab were found in the home, the police said.
Klaff was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors and illegal dumping of a controlled waste, all class D felonies. He was also charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class B felony.
