A convenience store east of downtown was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night, according to a Fort Wayne police report.

The holdup was reported about 10:20 p.m. at Burger Dairy II at St. Joseph Boulevard and Tennessee Avenue.

A store employee told police that a man with a gun approached him and demanded cash. The gunman left with an undetermined amount of money, and he ran west over the Tennessee Avenue bridge, the report stated.

On the bridge, he met with a man and woman, and the three fled together.

The gunman, dressed in all black, had a hood over his head and a mask that covered most of his face. He was described as black, the report said.
