Duplex fire’s cause electrical, accidental

A fire that damaged a duplex and left one firefighter injured Thursday was ruled accidental and electrical in nature, according to the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

The two-story duplex at 930 and 932 Lake Ave. caught fire at 2:10 p.m. Firefighters found the fire in the rear southeast corner of the 932 unit.

No one was home at the time of the fire; firefighters had the blaze under control in 37 minutes.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
