Adams Central, Angola and Homestead took home first place in their respective classes in a high school marching band contest Saturday night.
The bands were among 28 schools competing in the Penn Kingsmen Carnival of Bands at Penn High School in Mishawaka.
According to IndianaMarching.com, Adams Central was first in Class D and won caption awards in music, visual and general effect.
In Class C, Angola was first and took home a caption award in general effect. Wawasee and Leo were given participation awards.
Concord was first in Class B. Huntington North and North Side were given participation awards.
In Class A, Homestead was first and Carroll was third. Homestead won caption awards for music, visual and general effect.
Snider, Northrop and Warsaw were given participation awards.
