YouTube is launching its own music awards, and Lady Gaga will perform at the first-time event.

The Google-owned company announced Tuesday that Eminem and Arcade Fire will also perform at the YouTube Music Awards on Nov. 3. The awards will be presented at Pier 36 in New York City and will stream live online.

The announcement said the awards show will honor “artists and songs that YouTube fans have turned into global hits over the past year.” Nominees will be announced Oct. 17.

Actor Jason Schwartzman will host the YouTube Music Awards.

Brewster returns

Former “Criminal Minds” actress Paget Brewster will return for the series’ upcoming 200th episode, CBS announced Monday. She left the series in May after six seasons as Emily Prentiss.

The milestone episode is slated to air this season, but a date has not been officially announced.

Dog wins cameo

A Labrador/retriever mix from Station 2 in Jacksonville, Ill., is bound for the Hollywood big time.

Four-year-old Smokey won a cameo appearance in NBC’s firefighter drama “Chicago Fire” after a getting 51 percent of public votes in a contest on the “Today” show website, the network said in a news release Tuesday.

The contest featured more than 100 firehouse dogs from around the country that were entered for a role on the series. Smokey was rescued from a burning home when she was six months old. She now helps firefighters train children in safety techniques.

Series renewed

CBS on Monday announced it has renewed crime drama “Unforgettable” for a 13-episode third season, which will air in summer 2014.

The Poppy Montgomery series about an investigator with perfect recall was canceled after its first season on CBS, then retooled and brought back to life for a second season this summer.
