Notre Dame figuring out details about service academy games

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly told reporters Thursday he does not expect the government shutdown to affect the Irish's games against Air Force and Navy.

Notre Dame is scheduled to play at Air Force on Oct. 26 and play host to Navy on Nov. 2.

"We are traveling there, so we have gotten the green light on the Air Force game," Kelly said. "That should go on even with the government shutdown.

"The Navy game, obviously, becomes more of a question. We are talking with them right now as to how we may be able to facilitate through a third party relative to travel arrangements. I think we are feeling very confident that we are going to be able to make arrangements for the Navy travel. But we are in the process of that right now."
