Mongo woman found dead near Pigeon River

A woman was found dead this morning in the Pigeon River Fish and Wildlife Area near Mongo, the Department of Natural Resources said.

Misty S. McPartien, 28, of Mongo, was found near the Pigeon River soon after authorities were called at 5 or 5:30 a.m., Conservation Officer Jake Carlile said.

Conservation officers and detectives from the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department are investigating the death, conservation officers said in a statement.
