The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that injured two people, one critically. The wreck occurred at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday.
Mallory Hugg, 19, of Sherwood was northbound on Ohio 49, near milepost 12 in Milford Township in Defiance County, when her vehicle left the road. It rolled over several times into a cornfield before she was ejected.
Hugg was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne by Promedica Life Flight in critical condition. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Cain Person, 16, of Edgerton, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville with minor injuries. Person was wearing his seat belt at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
