Fort Wayne police officers were called to the 3300 block of Coliseum Boulevard West at the Economy Inn on Tuesday evening for suspected methamphetamine inside a vehicle.
Before officers arrived, the suspects fled, leaving the car at the Economy Inn.
Officers found the suspects in the area and discovered four one-pot meth labs inside a room at the Red Roof Inn in the 2900 block of Goshen Road, police said.
Three children all younger than 8 were removed from their fathers care by the Department of Child Services.
Officers arrested Devon L. Eminger, 32, and Joseph Randal Hecht, 31. Both were charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of two or more precursors, maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent.
This is the 51st methamphetamine lab investigation this year for the Meth Suppression Unit of the Fort Wayne Police Department in Allen County, police said.
