Autopsy inconclusive in Kosciusko missing-person case

An autopsy this week did not conclude the cause and manner of Aurora Shoemaker's death, the Kosciusko County coroner said today.

Shoemaker's remains are being sent to the University of Indianapolis for further analysis, and further information may not be available for about four weeks, Coroner Michael Wilson said in a statement.

Shoemaker, 18, went for a walk on Aug. 26, 2012, and never returned to her home north of Warsaw. Her family reported her missing three days later.

On Sunday evening, a group of teenage boys found her skeletal remains in woods, surrounded by farm fields, close to her home on County Road 175 East.
