2 clerks hurt in Ohio robbery

Two clerks at a gas station in northwest Ohio received minor injuries during a robbery Friday night, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

Shortly before 8 p.m., a man came into Ross's Gas Station in Grover Hill and demanded cash, calling one of the clerks by name, the sheriff's office said.

The man attacked both clerks and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The clerks were not seriously hurt, and they did not seek medical treatment, the sheriff's office said.

The robber left in a late-1990s to early-2000s, dark blue and tan Ford Explorer, possibly an Eddie Bauer edition. Investigators believe the robber and a second person in the vehicle are from the area.

The robber was described as 6-foot, 220 pounds and white. He wore dark pants, a ball cap, sunglasses and possibly a green shirt.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at 419-399-3791.
