So the U.S. won the President's Cup over in Dublin, Ohio, this weekend, beating the Internationals 18 1/2 to 15 1/2 in an event that, well, was apparently a big deal judging from all the coverage it got.
I'm admittedly not a golfhead. So it should come as no surprise to dedicated Blobophiles that I'd heard only vaguely about the President's Cup until this weekend, and I'm unsure where it fits exactly in the golf hierarchy of Cool Stuff To Win.
I've concluded, given that it's the same format as the Ryder Cup, that it's the kind of the same thing, only not really. The Ryder Cup even casual golf fans have heard about and get into. The President's Cup, not so much.
And so: The President's Cup is like the Ryder Cup's little brother. Or something.
