Mastodons volleyball player earns league honor

IPFW sophomore volleyball player Hailie Ripley earned Summit League Defensive Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.

It was the first Player of the Week award of her career for Ripley, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker. She averaged 1.44 blocks per set as the Mastodons went 2-0 last weekend. She also had 12 kills, one assist and one dig.
