Burglary suspect charged in new case

Bradley

A 21-year-old man faces a second formal charge of burglary in connection with a series of home break-ins on Fort Wayne’s south side.

Christian Bradley of Woodburn was arrested last week after police found his fingerprints in one of the homes, court files stated.

He was charged Monday with a Sept. 28 burglary of a house in the 4000 block of South Harrison Street. In that case, a teenager inside the house was startled by the burglar in the kitchen in the middle of the night.

On Tuesday, Bradley was charged with another break-in reported Sept. 28 at a home in the 200 block of Lexington Avenue. In that case, the victim told city police he came downstairs in the morning, saw his front door open and noticed several things missing, court records said.

A spate of burglaries has plagued the south-side neighborhoods in recent months. Detectives are investigating Bradley’s involvement in the other break-ins, police have said.

Bradley was being held Tuesday at the Allen County Jail. His bail was set at $40,000.
