City man arrested on 5 drug-dealing charges

A Fort Wayne man was arrested on cocaine-dealing charges before a search warrant was executed at a Lafayette Street home, Fort Wayne police said.

Edward Williams, 31, was charged with five counts of dealing cocaine and two counts of serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, police said in a statement. His bond was set at $272,500.

About 1 p.m. Friday, police said, the department's vice/narcotics division served a search warrant at Williams' home in the 2500 block of Lafayette. The warrant service followed a long-term investigation involving drug dealing and firearms, the statement said.
