“Marlin Stutzman, What do you want?”
“I don’t know.”
“When you do you want it?”
That was the chant shouted by a handful of protesters who lined Clinton Street in front of the Allen County Courthouse on Tuesday night, protesting what they called the “Tea Party Shutdown.”
“We’re tired of the tea party, and we want a decision,” said one protester, Susan Howey of Fort Wayne.
Howey said the group is part of a national organization called Organizing for Action that was President Barack Obama's former campaign organization.
The group emailed supporters asking them to attend rallies around the nation. It also promoted events on Twitter.
Another protester, Amanda Henry of Fort Wayne, said Fort Wayne’s OFA group started about three months ago, and members plan to protest the government shutdown every night at 5 p.m. until the shutdown ends.
