Report: Stephon Tuitt's mother says no decision has been made

Stephon Tuitt has not made a final decision on whether to return to Notre Dame or enter the NFL draft, the defensive end's mother told the Chicago Tribune.

Tamara Tuitt-Bartlett responded to the newspaper in a text message Thursday after a report surfaced Wednesday night in the university's student newspaper that her son had decided to return for his senior year.

"I'm coming back next year," Tuitt, who was not available to the rest of the media Wednesday, told the Observer. "I'm a junior. I still have one year."

Tuitt Bartlett told the Tribune: "Stephon has not decided what he is going to do. What he meant to say was that school is the focal point and he will get his degree from ND."

Tuitt, who is projected as a first-round draft pick, does not have to make a final decision until January.
