Eyeing IU

  • Indiana, Big Ten and college football predictions sure to go wrong
The college football season officially starts tonight when Abilene Christian and Georgia State kick off. It’s a game no one would normally care about, but since we’re a football-starved nation, curious eyes will tune in to ESPNU.
  • Indiana football news conference notes
Football season is upon us. For the first of 12 (maybe more) weeks, Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson and coordinators Kevin Johns and Brian Knorr previewed an opponent.
  • IU soccer defeats Washington

Preview: Indiana at Michigan

Indiana faces Michigan in Ann Arbor at 3:30 p.m. today in a Big Ten matchup. Here's a look ahead at the game.

Last time out: Michigan State 42, Hoosiers 28

TV: Big Ten Network

Radio: 1250 AM; 102.9 FM

News and notes:

  • History is not on the Hoosiers' side in this one. IU (3-3, 1-1) has lost 17 straight to the Wolverines (5-1, 1-1), with its last win against Michigan in 1987 in Bloomington. You have to go back two more decades to spot the last upset in The Big House: IU hasn't won in Ann Arbor since 1967.
  • This will be the second consecutive road game for IU, which started the season with five straight home matchups. The Hoosiers have won on the road twice in the Kevin Wilson era and just once in Big Ten play, with that victory coming against a bad Illinois team last season.
