Marching band results

Fourteen area marching bands are headed to semi-state competition after performing Saturday at regionals.

Marching bands performed at four regional sites with the goal of performing in the state finals on Nov. 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Most area bands competed Saturday at Chesterton High School and Lafayette Jefferson High School.

At Chesterton High School, according to IndianaMarching.com, Homestead, Carroll, Northrop and Snider earned gold ratings and advanced to semi-state competition.

In Class C, Concordia, Angola, Norwell and Leo earned gold ratings and advanced to semi-state competition. Heritage and Garrett earned silver ratings and Wawasee earned a bronze rating.

At Lafayette Jefferson, Adams Central, Woodlan and Bluffton earned gold ratings and advanced to semi-state in Class D. Eastside earned a silver rating.

In Class B, DeKalb, East Noble and North Side earned gold ratings and advanced to semi-state. Columbia City earned a gold rating.
