Sunday shooting victim, 30, is identified

FORT WAYNE – A 30-year-old Fort Wayne man has been identified as the victim of Sunday’s fatal shooting.

His death has been ruled the 38th homicide Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2013.

The shooting on Wildwood came less than 24 hours after a fatal shooting Saturday night on East Lewis Street.

Officers and paramedics found Murray in an alley between two homes. A short time later, he was declared dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 436-7867 or the Fort Wayne Police Department Detective Bureau at 427-1201.

The latest fatality was the culmination of a week of shootings.

On Tuesday gunfire killed a man and badly hurt another in the 3100 block of Smith Street, near Weisser Park.
