Off-road Jeep rolls, killing 1

A Jeep navigating a steep hill southwest of Fort Wayne overturned Monday night, killing one of the passengers, according to a statement issued by Allen County police.

Officers were sent to the 13000 block of Neahlongquah Lane about 9:45 p.m.

According to the initial report, four people were off-roading on nearby trails when the Jeep turned over, pinning the passenger. The person died at the scene, the statement said.

The other occupants, including the driver, suffered minor injuries. It is not known at this time whether the occupants were wearing seat belts, the statement said.
