ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University Board of Trustees has extended the contract of the northeastern Indiana school’s president for an additional two years through 2021.
Earl Brooks II became Trine’s president in 2000. During his tenure, enrollment has nearly doubled to 2,500 students from 1,300 students.
Board chairman Rick James says the board unanimously agreed to extend Brooks’ contract after Trine just completed one of the most successful years in its history.
Trine dedicated its Bock Center for Innovation and Biomedical Engineering earlier this month. It includes an incubator for technology and business that has collaborated on more than 30 projects with companies in Michigan and Indiana.
