No fatigue for Notre Dame's Jaylon Smith

SOUTH BEND – Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith does not have to worry about wearing down during a 12-game regular season schedule.

The freshman linebacker always played in six extra games in high school as he helped Bishop Luers win four straight Class 2A state championships.

"I think it was a great help," Smith said of the 24 high school postseason games he played. "I went to four state championships, so I played like a whole extra year of football in my high school career. As far as long seasons, I'm really used to it."
