Notre Dame freshman defensive end Isaac Rochell talks about possibly squaring off against his brother, Matt, the starting left guard for Air Force, on Saturday. By Tony Krausz, The Journal Gazette

Notre Dame vs. Air Force a family affair for Rochell

Notre Dame defensive end Isaac Rochell is trying to treat Saturday's game against Air Force like any other on the schedule.

That might not be easy for the freshman.

When the Irish (5-2) play the Falcons (1-6), Rochell could find himself lining up against his brother, Matt, the starting left tackle for Air Force.

"I'm just evaluating their whole O-line, including him, just as I would any other O-line" Isaac said. "I'm just treating it like he's a normal O-lineman for a normal team."

Isaac also hasn't altered how he communicates with his brother, saying the two have continued to talk this week like they have in previous weeks this season.

But there is one difference: neither brother is talking much about the game plan their teams have for the upcoming game.

"We know on both sides we're not going to talk about specifics of the game, in-game plans and stuff like that," Isaac Rochell said. "We just talk like we normally would like, 'How is your week?' or 'How is school going?', stuff like that, just casual conversation."
