46807 meeting scheduled to discuss needs, ideas

Anyone who lives, works or worships in 46807 is invited to share ideas this weekend about how that part of Fort Wayne can be improved.

The open space event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at South Side High School, door No. 9.

Small groups will meet to discuss specific physical, economic, social and civic projects.

About $1,800 in grants is available to make the best ideas a reality.

The 46807 Initiative Steering Committee was formed in 2010 to strengthen the neighborhood. The ZIP code includes Foster Park, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Unitarian Universalist Church, Congregation Achduth Vesholom, First Missionary Church and other organizations.

Reservations aren’t required but are encouraged.
