Komets fall in shootout

The Komets coughed up a three-goal lead and lost to the Cincinnati Cyclones 5-4 in an overtime shootout at Memorial Coliseum tonight.

A crowd of 8,484 attended the game,. Nick Boucher (No. 33) and Chuck Adamson (No. 1) had their numbers retired by the Komets before the game.

Fort Wayne got two goals from Brandon Marino and one apiece from Tristan King and Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock, who put the Komets up 3-0 with a 40-foot shot at 10:27 of the second period.

They have lost both their games this season in shootouts.

The only two goals in the shootout were scored by Cincinnati's Barry Almeida and Paul Crowder.
