Man gunned down on Tillman Road is ID’d

FORT WAYNE – A man who was shot and killed in the front yard of a house southeast of Fort Wayne on Saturday night has been identified.

The death of Jovon Clarkson Harvey, 44, was ruled a homicide, according to a statement issued Monday.

Emergency dispatchers received a call at 7:50 p.m. about shots fired at 4914 E. Tillman Road, near Wayne Trace.

Cpl. Jeremy Tinkel, a county police spokesman, said officers arrived at the ranch-style house to find the man with gunshot wounds in the yard, and Harvey died at the scene.

His death has been ruled the 39th homicide of 2013 in Allen County and Fort Wayne.
