The bus owned by Thomas Edison Schools of the Van Wert County Board of Developmental Disabilities was headed west on U.S. 30 at 7:53 a.m. when it was struck at Ohio 49 North by a 1996 Buick driven by Zechariah C. Price, 18, of Antwerp, the post said.

Price was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital with critical injuries, the post said.

The bus driver, Alice Knueve, 62, of Convoy, and passenger Isaac Smith, a 24-year-old student in a wheelchair, were not hurt. An aide on the bus, 50-year-old Tina Gaskill, was treated for minor injuries, the post said.
