Exciting win for K's, exciting highlights for you

The Komets defeated the Toledo Walleye 5-4 in overtime on Nov. 15, 2013. Check out the goals and goaltending.

K's recap with video

After a 5-4 overtime victory Friday over the Toledo Walleye, in which the Komets twice coughed up leads, here's what coach Gary Graham had to say ...

"The way this season is going, if these guys are going to be like this every game, if I don't end up sick in the hospital then I'll be shocked.

"It's big for us just to get on a streak and get the confidence going with back-to-back wins now. Four points in two games. Winning teams, they can get hot and get contagious. That's what we're looking for.

"We have to figure out how to win and win the right way. Tonight, we learned a lot. We continue to learn from each and every game. But it was good, bad and ugly, there's no doubt about it. We have to be a lot more detailed tomorrow night and I lot sharper."

Mike Vaskivuo, who had the winning goal in overtime after a pass from Mickey Lang, said ...

"Obviously, Langer made a great play. He was patient and was holding it, made one extra move and he slid it over to me. I could have put that one in with my eyes closed.

"It was up-and-down. I guess we maybe got too complacent. That's natural early in the season. We've had our ups and downs, but it's great we played 62 minutes today and things worked out

And Bobby Hughes, who had two goals, said ...

"We can't get too high and we can't get too low or else you get yourself into trouble."
