Synthetic pot found; proprietor arrested

Fort Wayne police arrested the owner of a BP gas station after finding synthetic marijuana at the business.

Officers and detectives came to the gas station at 6230 Stellhorn Road with a search warrant Friday.

They had received several tips that synthetic marijuana, also known as Spice, had been sold there.

Upon discovering the Spice, officers also searched the owner’s home in the 9400 block of Blue Mound Drive.

Afterward, they arrested the owner, Ashok Kumar, on two felony counts of dealing in a synthetic drug, a felony count of corrupt business influence and a misdemeanor count of possession of a synthetic drug.
