    he Komets are 33-16-4 all-time on Thanksgiving. Fort Wayne is 3-0-0 against Indianapolis, which is winless in seven road games this season.

    The Komets have signed Brett Beebe, who was in training camp with them and has been playing with Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

Trade completed

The Komets completed their trade for forward Brett Lyon, who had been with Bakersfield.

A 22-year-old, 6-foot-2, 195-pound tough guy, he had more than 20 major penalties for fighting last season, while totaling five goals, 10 points and 218 penalty minutes in 57 games with Bakersfield and Orlando.

The Komets gave up cash to get him.

Also ... the Komets invite all fans to the annual Tip-A-Komet benefit at Applebee's North Clinton location by the Coliseum on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fans have a chance to be served dinner by a Komet player as the entire team will be on hand for the special night at Applebee's. All tips benefit Applebee's Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraising efforts.
