Strong Armed Robbery Suspect

The Fort Wayne Police Department needs the public??s assistance in identifying the suspect captured in the surveillance video and photographs attached to this email. The following information is a brief synopsis of the event: 5519 Coldwater Rd. (Parking Lot of the Hobby Lobby) Monday, November 18th at 12:04 p.m. Suspect: M/B/skinny/Gray Hooded sweatshirt and jeans, No weapon used. Loss: Purse, ID, Credit Cards. The victim was a 76-year old female. Purse snatched while victim was getting into her vehicle, Perpetrator fled on foot from the area. Help sought in purse-nabbing case

Fort Wayne police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who snatched a 76-year-old woman’s purse outside a store about noon Monday.

The purse was taken while the victim was getting into her vehicle outside Hobby Lobby at 5519 Coldwater Road.

The man, described as black with a skinny build, was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans. No weapon was used, police said.

The woman lost her purse, identification and credit cards.

Anyone with information about the identity of the thief is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-7867 or the city police non-emergency number at 427-1222.
