News and notes
- Postseason ban and all, Urban Meyer's Buckeyes have not wavered in the past two seasons. Ohio State hasn't lost a game since the former Florida coach arrived in Columbus, although last season's matchup with the Hoosiers -- a 52-49 win in Bloomington for the Buckeyes -- was a little close for comfort.
- This is the second consecutive road game against a ranked opponent for IU. After coughing up 554 yards of rushing offense and 676 total yards to the Badgers in Madison, Wis., the Hoosiers will face the Big Ten's best dual-threat quarterback in Ohio State junior Braxton Miller. Miller is the only conference quarterback in the top-10 of the Big Ten in both passing and rushing yards per game.
- IU needs to pull off a huge upset today and win next week against Purdue at home in order to earn postseason bowl eligibility. If the Hoosiers lose, they will finish the year with five wins at best and be out of the bowl picture.
