    The Komets have signed defenseman James Martin, who spent last season with the Alaska Aces and won the ECHL championship.
  • Komets sign forward Pistilli
    The Komets have signed forward Matthew Pistilli and reached an agreement with Konstantin Shafranov to be an assistant coach for a second straight season.
  • Former Komet Uhrich dies at 60
    Rick Uhrich, a right wing who played for the Komets in 1974-75, died at 60, according to the Leader-Post, a newspaper in Saskatchewan.

Pregame K's primer

It looks as if Cody Reichard will get the start in net tonight for the Komets against the Wheeling Nailers.

Reichard has sat out the last five games in favor of Andrey Makarov.

Reichard is 0-2-1 with a 3.93 goals-against average and a .874 save percentage, whereas Makarov is 8-5-3 with a 2.87 GAA and a .909 SP.

The Komets are 5-5-2. Wheeling is 6-5-2.

The only meeting this season was won by Wheeling, 6-2, at Memorial Coliseum on Nov. 8.
